Hefei-Wuhan High-speed Railway 合武高铁

The Hefei-Wuhan High-speed Railway is a high-speed railway with a design speed of 350km/h that is being promoted. It will greatly shorten the time and space distance between East China and Wuhan and other central China regions. The Hewu High-speed Railway is part of the high-speed railway along the Yangtze River. Construction is planned to start in 2020 to shorten the railway time from Shanghai to Chengdu. The specific route directions are Hefei City, Lu’an City and Wuhan City.
The Hefei-Wuhan Railway currently in operation has a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and the normal time from Wuhan High-speed Railway to Hefei is about 2 hours. The planned Hefei-Wuzhou high-speed railway is an important part of the high-speed railway along the North Yangtze River. The North Yanjiang High-speed Railway is an important part of my country’s “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed rail network. It starts from Chengdu in the west, passes through Chongqing, Wuhan, Hefei, Nanjing, Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong and ends in Shanghai. Once completed, it is expected to facilitate transportation in the vast area of ​​northern Jiangsu. The newly built 350 kilometers per hour Hefei-Wuzhou high-speed railway is of great significance for building a high-standard high-speed railway channel along the river, releasing the freight function, supporting the implementation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt strategy, and promoting high-quality economic development. According to relevant national arrangements, the project is planned to be jointly constructed by the Railway Corporation and Anhui and Hubei provinces, and strives to start construction during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period.

合武高铁，是一条重点推进的设计速度达350km/h的高速铁路，将大大拉近华东地区与武汉等华中地区的时空距离。合武高铁是沿江高铁的一部分，计划2020年开工建设，缩短上海到成都的铁路时间。具体线路走向为，合肥市、六安市、武汉市。
当前已开通运营的合武铁路设计时速为250公里，武汉高铁到合肥常规时间为2小时左右。规划中的合武高铁，是北沿江高铁重要组成部分。北沿江高速铁路是我国“八纵八横”高铁网络的重要组成部分，西起成都，经重庆、武汉、合肥、南京、扬州、泰州、南通至上海，建成后有望便利苏北广大区域交通。新建350公里时速合武高铁，对于构建高标准沿江高铁通道，释放货运功能，支撑长江经济带战略实施，推动经济高质量发展，具有重要意义。根据国家有关部署，该项目拟由铁路总公司和安徽、湖北省合作建设，力争“十三五”期间开工建设。
