The Huzhang-Zhangjiakou Railway Passenger Dedicated Line (official name: Zhangjiakou-Hoh Railway Passenger Dedicated Line, referred to as Zhangjiakou-Hoh Passenger Dedicated Line), the project name is Zhangjiakou to Hohhot Passenger Dedicated Line. It is a passenger dedicated line from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to Hebei Province. The line starts from Zhangjiakou South Station and leads to Hohhot East Station. It is a double-track electrified railway. It is Inner Mongolia’s first high-speed rail line with a total length of 286.8 kilometers, of which 76 kilometers are in Hebei Province. , 210 kilometers within the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The designed running speed of the train is 250km/h. Construction officially started on March 27, 2014, with an expected construction period of 4 years. It is an important part of the “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed railway main channel Jinglan Channel in the national medium and long-term railway network plan. The Zhangjiakou-Hong Kong high-speed railway will be connected to the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway under construction in the future, and the running time from Hohhot to Beijing will be shortened from the current 6 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours.
The Huzhang Railway starts from Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province in the east, passes through Wanquan County, Huai’an County, and Shangyi County in Hebei Province, then enters Ulanqab City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, passing through Xinghe County, Chahar Right Front Banner, and Ulanqab City , Zhuozi County, and ends in Hohhot in the west. Huai’an Station and Zhangjiakou Station in Zhangjiakou are connected to the Zhangjiakou-Dalian Passenger Line and the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway respectively. One of the remarkable features of the Zhanghu-Hong Kong high-speed railway is that the tunnel length accounts for 62% of the entire line. Among them, the longest tunnel on the line, the Dongtucun Tunnel, is 4,560m long and was completed on April 30, 2016. Construction of the Saihantalat Bridge, the largest bridge on the Zhanghu-Huzhou high-speed railway, has also begun, with a total length of 13.8km. The main offline project was completed at the end of July 2015, and track laying began in July 2016. The Zhangjiakou to Hohhot Passenger Dedicated Line is not only a fast passenger transport channel from the west of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to Beijing, but also an important part of the Beijing-Baotou and Baotou-Lanzhou railway corridors of the national railway network. It is also an important channel connecting the “Three Norths” regions of northwest, north China and northeastern China. After it is completed and opened to traffic, a large number of related passenger flows will be diverted, the existing freight channel capacity can be strengthened, and a large-capacity freight channel from the Bohai Sea to western Inner Mongolia and the northwest will be built to meet the needs of coal export in western Inner Mongolia.
呼张铁路客运专线(官方正式名称:张呼铁路客运专线,简称张呼客专),工程名称为张家口至呼和浩特客运专线。是内蒙古自治区至河北省的一段客运专线,该线路始于张家口南站,引入呼和浩特东站,为双线电气化铁路,是内蒙古首条高铁线路,全长286.8千米,其中河北省境内76千米,内蒙古自治区境内210千米。列车设计行车速度为250㎞/h。2014年3月27日正式开工建设,预计工期4年,是国家中长期铁路网规划中”八纵八横”高速铁路主通道京兰通道的重要组成部分。张呼高铁未来将与在建的京张高铁连通,届时呼和浩特至北京的运行时间将由现在的6小时30分缩短至3小时。
呼张铁路东起河北省张家口市,经河北省万全县、怀安县、尚义县后进入内蒙古自治区乌兰察布市境内,经兴和县、察哈尔右翼前旗、乌兰察布市、卓资县,西迄于呼和浩特。在张家口境内的怀安站、张家口站分别与张大客运专线、京张高速铁路接轨。张呼高速铁路显著特点之一就是隧道长度占全线长度比例高达62%,其中线路中最长隧道东土村隧道全长4560m,已于2016年4月30日建成。张呼高速铁路上的最长大桥赛汉塔拉特大桥也已开工建设,该桥全长13.8km。2015年7月底完成线下主体工程,2016年7月开始铺轨。张家口至呼和浩特客运专线不仅是内蒙古自治区西部进京的快速客运通道,也是国家铁路网骨架京包、包兰铁路通道的重要组成部分,还是西北、华北、东北“三北”地区联系的重要通道。建成通车后,将分流大量相关客流,可强化既有货运通道能力,构建环渤海至蒙西及西北大能力货运通道,满足蒙西地区煤炭外运的需要。
