Dunhuang-Golmud Railway 敦格铁路

Dunge Railway (Dunhuang-Golmud Railway), the Dunge Section of Dunhuang Railway, also known as Dunge Line, is a national railway Class I electrified railway in China connecting Dunhuang, Gansu to Golmud, Qinghai. The Dungeness Railway runs from Dunhuang Station to Yinmaxia Station, with a total length of 509 kilometers (using the existing 152 kilometers of the Xigang section of the Qinghai-Tibet Line to connect Golmud Station, the total length of the line from Dunhuang Station to Golmud Station is 671 kilometers). The line has a total of 18 stations and the designed maximum speed is 120 kilometers/hour. As of December 2019, the operating speed of Dunge Railway is 120 kilometers per hour. The Dunge Railway starts from Dunhuang Station in the north and ends at Yinmaxia Station in the south. Construction started in October 2012 and was completed and opened to traffic on December 18, 2019.
The northern end of Dunge Railway connects with Dunhuang Station. It goes around Dunhuang City and then goes up along National Highway 215. It passes through Shashan Valley through Aksai and Subei Counties, runs in front of Dangjin Mountain, enters the tunnel before reaching Changcaogou, and crosses Dangcaogou. After Jinshan, it enters the Haixi Prefecture of Qinghai Province in the Sugan Lake Basin, crosses the Seshteng Mountain, passes through Mahai, Yuka, and Daqaidan, and connects to the Yinmaxia Station of the Xige Section of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. The Dunge Railway is a convenient passage connecting the four provinces of Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, and Tibet. After the entire line is opened to traffic, it will be connected with the Lanqing Railway, Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway, and Qinghai-Tibet Railway to form the first circular closed railway network in northwest China.

敦格铁路（Dunhuang-Golmud Railway），即敦煌铁路敦格段，又称敦格线，是中国境内一条连接甘肃敦煌至青海格尔木的国铁Ⅰ级电气化铁路。敦格铁路由敦煌站至饮马峡站，全长509千米（利用青藏线西格段既有线152千米连接格尔木站，敦煌站至格尔木站线路全长671千米） 。线路共设18个车站，设计的最高速度为120千米/小时。截至2019年12月，敦格铁路的运营速度为120千米/小时。敦格铁路北起敦煌站，南至饮马峡站，于2012年10月开工，2019年12月18日建成通车。
敦格铁路北端接轨于敦煌站，外绕敦煌市区后沿215国道而上，穿沙山沟经阿克塞、肃北县境，走行于当金山前，至长草沟前入隧道，翻越当金山后，于苏干湖盆地进入青海省海西州境内，翻越赛什腾山，经马海、鱼卡、大柴旦，接轨于青藏铁路西格段的饮马峡站。敦格铁路是连通新疆、青海、甘肃、西藏四省区的一条便捷通道，全线通车后将与兰青铁路、兰新铁路、青藏铁路串联成中国西北地区的首条环形闭合铁路网络。
