Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway 贵广高速铁路

The Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway is the first high-standard railway in Southwest China with a speed of more than 250 kilometers per hour. The design speed is 250 kilometers per hour, with a reserved speed of 300 kilometers per hour. After the project is completed, the time taken by train from Guiyang to Guangzhou will be shortened from about 22 hours to about 3 and a half hours. The Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway is expected to be completed in 2014. The Guiyang-Guangzhou Railway has a total length of 857 kilometers and a total of 30 stations along the line. It is a double-track electrified national Class I railway with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and conditions for further speeding up are reserved. The annual transportation capacity is 35 million tons of freight, and passenger trains operate daily. 100 pairs, with a design construction period of 6 years and an estimated total investment of 85.8 billion yuan.
