Hainan Island Ring Railway is a high-speed railway in Hainan Province, China. The line is in the shape of a ring. It is the southern end of China’s “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed railway network covering the (silver) sea channel, and is also an integral part of the coastal channel. The Hainan Island Ring Railway was constructed in phases. The east ring section started construction on September 29, 2007 and was completed on December 30, 2010. The west ring section started construction on September 28, 2012 and was completed on December 30, 2015. It was completed and put into operation on the same day, that is, the entire Hainan Island Ring Railway was completed and opened to traffic.
The Hainan Island Ring Railway starts from Haikou Station in the north and ends at Sanya Station in the south. The total length of the loop is 653 kilometers, with a total of 25 passenger and truck stations. The maximum operating speed of the trains is 200 kilometers per hour. On November 12, 2018, the Hainan island-circling high-speed railway implemented a pilot electronic ticket service. You can “scan into the station” with a second-generation ID card and other documents, an electronic ticket notice or the 12306 dynamic QR code. The completion of the entire Hainan Island Ring Railway will further improve the structure of Hainan’s rapid railway network and greatly facilitate travel for people along the route. It is of great significance to accelerating the formation of the island’s “three-hour economic circle”, promoting the construction of Hainan as an international tourist island, and promoting local economic and social development.
海南环岛铁路是中国海南省境内的高速铁路，线路呈环形状，为中国”八纵八横“高速铁路网包（银）海通道的南端部分，也是沿海通道的组成部分。海南环岛铁路分期分段建设，东环段于2007年9月29日动工建设、于2010年12月30日竣工运营；西环段于2012年9月28日开工建设、于2015年12月30日竣工运营，即海南环岛铁路全线建成通车。
海南环岛铁路北起海口站、南至三亚站，环线全长653千米，共有25座客货车站，列车最高运营速度200千米/小时。2018年11月12日，海南环岛高铁实行电子客票服务试点，用二代身份证等证件、电子客票通知单或12306动态二维码就可“一扫进站”。海南环岛铁路全线贯通可进一步完善海南快速铁路网结构，极大方便沿线群众出行，对加快形成海岛 “三小时经济圈”、推进海南国际旅游岛建设以及促进当地经济社会发展具有重要意义。
