The Han-Xiao Intercity Railway, also known as the Wuxiao Intercity Railway, starts from Hankou Station and ends at Xiaogan East Station. The Wuxi Passenger Express connected to Hanyang New Station will merge at Yunmeng East Station. The operation method of combining Dazhan Express and station-stop trains is implemented, with 10 pairs per day. The Dazhan Express train stops at Hankou, Tianhe Airport, Xiaogan East and other stations along the line, with a running time of about 30 minutes; the station-stop train runs for about 50 minutes.
The Wuhan-Xiaogan Intercity Railway is a rapid intercity railway connecting Wuhan and Xiaogan within the Wuhan city circle. The line leads from the east throat of Hankou Station, Wuhan Hub, along Tazihu West Road, passes through Houhu Street in Jiangan District and Jiangjun Street in Dongxihu District, crosses Fuhe River to Wuhan Panlongcheng Economic Development Zone in Huangpi District, and passes through the airport from the north side of Baishui Lake, Yezhu It passes through the south side of the Lake and Wangmu Lake, and then passes through Maochen to the downtown area of Xiaogan. Citizens in urban areas such as Xiaogan will have the fastest direct access to Tianhe Airport. The intercity railway from Wuhan to Shiyan via Xiangyang will also use the Han-Xiao City Railway. It extends to Shiyan North Station and passes through Xiaogan, Suizhou and Xiangyang. In this way, through urban rail, subway and other means of transportation, tourists from the province can continue to enter Wuhan quickly and quickly, and at the same time, it also enriches the passenger source of Wuhan Airport. At that time, Wuhan will truly become a large airport.
汉孝城际铁路，又名武孝城际铁路，始自汉口站，终到孝感东站，先期于2016年12月1日通车，后续延伸到云梦东站并于2019年12月通车，再与汉阳新站连接的武西客专在云梦东站并轨。武孝城际沿线设车站10个，云梦东通车后将多一坐站点。最初设计速度汉口站-天河机场站200km/h(预留250km/h条件)，天河机场站-孝感东站250km/h。实行大站快车和站站停列车相结合的运营方式，每天10对，大站快车沿线停靠汉口、天河机场、孝感东等车站，运行时间约30分钟;站站停列车运行时间约50分钟。
武孝城际铁路是武汉城市圈内一条连接武汉和孝感的快速城际铁路。线路自武汉枢纽汉口站东咽喉引出，沿塔子湖西路经江岸区后湖街、东西湖区的将军街，过府河到黄陂区武汉盘龙城经济开发区，经机场后从白水湖北侧、野猪湖、王母湖南侧经过，然后经毛陈至孝感市中心城区。汉孝城铁通车后，从汉口到天河机场只需15分钟以内，孝感等城市圈市民有了最快通道直达天河机场，而武汉经襄阳至十堰的城际铁路也将利用汉孝城铁，延伸至十堰北站，途经孝感、随州、襄阳。这样一来，通过城铁、地铁等交通工具，省内客源可源源不断快捷入汉，同时也充实了武汉空港客源。那时，武汉将真正成为一个大空港。
