合安高铁新合肥西站，经定远、明光、五河、泗县、泗洪、宿迁，至新沂接入在建徐连高铁新沂南站，并与拟建的京沪高铁二通道联通，线路全长343.5公里，速度目标值350公里/小时。合新高铁是合肥至青岛高速铁路合肥至新沂段。南连合安九、昌吉赣、赣深高铁，北接徐连客专、京沪高铁二通道和沿海高铁，构成华南、西南经合肥至山东半岛的快速客运大通道，对完善国家快速铁路网布局，加强内陆与沿海地区经济融合，支撑长江经济带和山东半岛蓝色经济区建设具有重要的战略意义。
