The greening demonstration project of the Anhui section of the Hening-Ning high-speed railway, the country’s first express passenger line, has been completed recently, achieving greening across the entire line. The total length of the forest belt completed by the project is 99 kilometers, the width is 50 meters, and the cumulative afforestation area is 13,691 acres. The person in charge of the Provincial Forestry Department said that after 3 to 5 years of growth, these trees can grow into a beautiful green “necklace”. The Hening-Ning high-speed railway is an important transportation channel from Hefei to Jiangsu and Shanghai. It has a total length of 119 kilometers in Anhui, of which 99 kilometers can be greened. It passes through Yaohai District and Feidong County of Hefei City, Juchao District of Chaohu City and Quanjiao County of Chuzhou City.
