Huaihua-Hengyang Railway 怀衡铁路

Huaihua-Hengyang Railway, also known as Huaihua-Hengyang Railway, is a high-speed railway connecting Huaihua City and Hengyang City in Hunan Province. It is connected to the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway to the west and the Hengcha-Jilin Railway to the east. It is the south line of the middle section of the Lanzhou-Xiamen Railway and is complementary to the Yu-Changsha-Xiamen Express Railway on the north line of the middle section; it is connected to the Zhangjihuai High-speed Railway in western Hunan to the north. The Huai-Shao-Heng Railway leads from Huaihua South Station and passes through Hecheng District under the jurisdiction of Huaihua City, Anjiang Town of Hongjiang City, Dongkou County, Longhui County, Shaoyang County, Beita District, Daxiang District, Shuangqing District, and Shaodong under the jurisdiction of Shaoyang City The county and Hengyang City govern Hengyang County, Shigu District, Zhuhui District and Hengnan County. It ends at Yanjialong Station on the Jiheng Line in Hengyang City. The total length of the main line is 318 kilometers.
The Huai-Shao-Heng Railway connects the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway to the west and the Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway to the east. It is the south line of the middle section of the Lanzhou-Xiamen Railway and is complementary to the Chongqing-Changsha-Xiamen Express Railway on the north line of the middle section; it is connected to the Zhangjihuai High-speed Railway of western Hunan in the north. The Huai-Shao-Heng Railway connects the Shanghai-Kunming Channel, the Jiao-Liu Railway and the Yu-Huai Railway to the west, and is connected to the Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway through the Yu-Huai Railway, connecting Chongqing and Chengdu, connecting the northwest, and radiating to Yunnan and Guizhou; it intersects with the Luo-Zhan Railway in the middle , and can connect Guilin, Liuzhou, and Nanning to Guangxi via the Xianggui Line and Hengliu Line, and can also connect southern Jiangxi and Haixi regions through the Hengchaji, Ganlong, and Longxia highways, and directly reach the Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong and Macao via the Beijing-Guangzhou Channel region, it has become the fastest transportation channel connecting the northwest and southwest regions to the southeast coast and the Pearl River Delta region. It is of great significance to the implementation of the strategy of the rise of central China and the development of the western region. It can be called a golden railway connection line.

怀衡铁路（Huaihua-Hengyang Railway），又名怀邵衡铁路，是一条连接湖南省怀化市与衡阳市的快速铁路。它西连沪昆高速铁路，东接衡茶吉铁路等，为兰厦铁路中段南线的路段，与中段北线的渝长厦快速铁路互补;北接湘西的张吉怀高铁。怀邵衡铁路自怀化南站引出，经怀化市所辖鹤城区、洪江市安江镇，邵阳市所辖洞口县、隆回县、邵阳县、北塔区、大祥区、双清区、邵东县及衡阳市所辖衡阳县、石鼓区、珠晖区、衡南县，止于衡阳市吉衡线颜家垄站，正线全长318公里。
怀邵衡铁路西连沪昆高速铁路，东接京广高铁等，为兰厦铁路中段南线的路段，与中段北线的渝长厦快速铁路互补；北接湘西的张吉怀高铁。怀邵衡铁路西接沪昆通道、焦柳铁路及渝怀铁路，并通过渝怀铁路与兰渝铁路连接，起到沟通重庆、成都，连通西北，辐射云贵的作用；中途与洛湛铁路相交，并可由湘桂线、衡柳线通路连接桂林、柳州、南宁到达广西，也可由衡茶吉、赣龙、龙厦通路连接赣南及海西地区，并经京广通道直达珠三角及港澳地区，成为连接西北、西南地区至东南沿海和珠三角地区最快捷的运输通道，对实施中部崛起和西部大开发战略具有十分重要的意义，堪称一条黄金铁路联络线。
