The Yishi Railway is a planned segment of the Sanmenxia–Shiyan–Yichang Railway, which has been included in Hubei Province’s adjustment plan. This railway is an important part of the “Hubei Province Medium and Long-term Railway Network Plan”, stretching from Suide to Shimen. It is approximately 256 kilometers long with an estimated investment of about 13 billion yuan. This line is considered a key infrastructure project that leverages the tourism resources of the “One River and Two Mountains” area, which includes the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, Shennongjia, and Wudang Mountains. It is not only a connecting thread for these areas but also has the potential to form two tourism loops: one from Shiyan to Xiangfan to Jingmen to Yichang, and another larger loop that adds Suizhou, Wuhan, and Jingzhou into the circuit.
There are three proposed alignments for the Yishi Railway: east, central, and west. The eastern alignment would run from Shiyan through Baokang and Yiling District’s Fenxiang and Huanghua to reach Yichang East Station. The central and western alignments would pass through Fang County, Shennongjia, Xingshan, and Taipingxi Town in Yiling District to reach Yichang East Station. The western alignment, which connects significant attractions of the western Hubei ecological and cultural tourism circle such as the Three Gorges Dam, Shennongjia, and Wudang Mountains, is considered to be more reasonable. The Yishi Railway would have a total length of 277 kilometers, and as per the current plan, there would be 11 stations including Yichang East, Three Gorges, Qu Yuan Temple, Xingshan, Shennongjia, among others.
宜十铁路是规划建设的三门峡——十堰——宜昌铁路中的一段,被纳入湖北调整方案。该条铁路是《湖北省中长期铁路网规划》中绥德至石门铁路的重要组成部分,全长256公里,投资预估算约130亿元。此线是整合“一江两山”(长江三峡、神农架、武当山)和鄂西生态文化旅游圈旅游资源最具优势、最有价值的基础设施项目,不仅可以将“一江两山”一线串连,而且可以形成十堰—襄樊—荆门—宜昌和十堰—襄樊—随州—武汉—荆州—宜昌两个大小循环旅游圈。 宜十铁路东、中、西三个方案。东线方案是从十堰经保康、夷陵区的分乡、黄花抵达宜昌东站;中线和西线方案则从十堰经房县、神农架、兴山、夷陵区的太平溪镇抵达宜昌东站。西线方案将鄂西生态文化旅游圈的重要景点三峡大坝、神农架、武当山联系在了一起,更加合理。十宜铁路全长277公里,在目前确定的线路上设有宜昌东、三峡、屈原庙、兴山、神农架等11个站点。
