The Bohai Sea High-Speed Railway, also known as the Dayan High-Speed Railway, refers to the cross-sea submarine high-speed railway that runs from Lushunkou in Dalian, Liaoning, to Penglai in Yantai, Shandong. This project has undergone nearly 20 years of research and demonstration. The technical issues related to the construction of an undersea high-speed railway have been resolved. The railway is designed to operate at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
The Dayan High-Speed Rail stretches from Lushunkou in Dalian to Penglai in Yantai, with a straight-line distance of just over 100 kilometers. By land, circumnavigating the Bohai Sea would span over 1,000 kilometers, and using conventional railways would require more than ten hours. However, in the future, this travel time could potentially be shortened to about half an hour. The completion of this cross-sea passage will form an integrated transport network of sea, land, and air, integrating the Liaodong Peninsula, Shandong Peninsula, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, achieving greater regional integration. This will have a significant promotional and improvement effect on the economy of Northern China and Northeast Asia.

渤海海底高铁即大烟高铁，指的是从辽宁大连旅顺口到山东烟台蓬莱的跨海海底高速铁路，该项目已经经过了近20年的研究论证，海底建设高铁的技术问题已经解决，该项目设计时速每小时250公里速度。 大烟高铁从大连旅顺口到烟台蓬莱，直线距离只有100多公里。而如果走陆路绕行环渤海，则有1000多公里，走常规铁路，需要10多个小时，而未来可能会缩短到大半个小时。这个跨海通道的建成，将形成海陆空立体化的交通网络，使辽东半岛、山东半岛和京津冀融为一体，实现更大范围的一体化，对中国北部、东北亚经济会有显著促进和提高的作用。
