The Guangdong section is a self-owned project of China Railway Guangzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd. The first high-speed railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The main line of the Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway runs from Ganzhou West Station to Shenzhen Xili Station. In the initial stage, it was introduced into Shenzhen North Station through the connecting line at the Shenzhen hub.
The Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway connects to the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway at Guangming City Station to the south, to the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, to the Chang-Gan high-speed railway at Ganzhou West Station to the north, and to the Shenzhen-Zhanhan high-speed railway at Shenzhen Xili Station to the west. , Shenzhen-Zhuhai Intercity Railway, connecting the Shenzhen-Huizhou Intercity Railway to the east. On March 25, 2020, the Hengling Tunnel, a key and difficult control project on the Guangdong section of the Gansu-Shenzhen High-speed Railway, which was constructed by the China Railway 16th Bureau Group Company, was fully completed. The Gansu-Shenzhen Railway is an economic artery in northeastern Jiangxi and Guangdong. Once completed and opened to traffic, it will alleviate the transportation tension between Nanchang and Shenzhen on the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, promote the in-depth integration of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, give play to the radiating and leading role of the Pearl River Delta region, and implement the national The “Rise of Central China Plan” and the “Revitalization and Development Plan for the Central Soviet Area of Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong” are of great strategic significance.

赣深高速铁路(Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Railway),简称赣深高铁,又名赣深客运专线,即京港高速铁路赣深段,是一条连接江西省赣州市与广东省深圳市的高速铁路,是《中长期铁路网规划》(2016年版)中“八纵八横”高速铁路主通道之一“京港(台)通道”的重要组成部分,广东段是中国铁路广州局集团有限公司自行承建的第一条时速350千米高速铁路。赣深高速铁路正线由赣州西站至深圳西丽站,初期在深圳枢纽经联络线引入深圳北站。
赣深高速铁路向南在光明城站跨线接驳广深港高速铁路至香港西九龙站,向北在赣州西站接驳昌赣高速铁路,向西在深圳西丽站接驳深湛高速铁路、深珠城际铁路,向东接驳深惠城际铁路。2020年3月25日,由中铁十六局集团公司承担建设的赣深高铁广东段重难点控制工程——横岭隧道全面贯通。赣深铁路是赣粤东北部的一条经济大动脉,建成通车后,对缓解京九铁路南昌至深圳间运输紧张状况、推动粤港澳大湾区的深度融合、发挥珠三角地区辐射带动作用、落实国家“中部崛起计划”“赣闽粤原中央苏区振兴发展规划”战略意义重大。
