The Guangzhou to Shanwei Railway leads from Xintang Station of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway and runs eastward through Zengcheng District under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou City, Boluo County, Huicheng District, Zhongkai High-tech Zone, Huiyang District, Huidong County and Shanwei City under the jurisdiction of Huizhou City, and Shenzhen-Shantou under the jurisdiction of Shanwei City Cooperation Zone, Haifeng County, to Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway Shanwei Station, the total length of the new line is 206.2km, with 7 new stations on the entire line, the design railway speed is 350km/h, the total project investment is estimated to be 43.21 billion yuan, and the construction period is 4 years. After the Guangzhou-Shantou Railway is completed and opened to traffic, the commuting time from Guangzhou to Shanwei will be reduced from about 2 hours now to about 40 minutes, further facilitating people’s travel and accelerating the development of eastern Guangdong.
The Guangzhou-Shantou High-speed Railway is a high-speed railway channel from Guangzhou to eastern Guangdong. It will extend from Guangzhou to Shanwei to Shantou. The total length of the two project lines is about 366 kilometers, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The Guangzhou-Shantou Railway connects to the Guangzhou-Mao Railway at Guangzhou Station to form the Shantou-Mao Railway, becoming a part of the high-speed railway in Guangdong Province. The western end of the Guangzhou-Shantou Passenger Railway connects the Guizhou-Guangzhou, Nanguang, Guangzhou-Zhuhai, Shenzhen-Maoming Railway and the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway through the Guangzhou hub, connecting the core areas of the Pearl River Delta and radiating to western Guangdong, southwest and other places; the central part takes over the Beijing-Kowloon Railway in the Huizhou area The channel connects Jiangxi, Anhui and other central and eastern regions; its eastern end is connected to the coastal railway, Shantou-Shantou Railway, and Beijing-Kowloon Railway branch line Longshan Railway in the Shanwei area, providing access to the southeast and East China coastal areas.
广州至汕尾铁路自广深铁路新塘站引出,向东经广州市所辖增城区,惠州市所辖博罗县、惠城区、仲恺高新区、惠阳区、惠东县和汕尾市所辖深汕合作区、海丰县,至厦深铁路汕尾站,新建线路总长206.2km,全线新设7座车站,铁路设计行车速度350km/h,工程投资估算总额432.1亿元,建设工期4年。广汕铁路建成通车后,广州到汕尾的通勤时间将由现在的2小时左右压缩到40分钟左右,进一步方便人民群众出行,助推粤东地区加快发展。
广汕高铁是广州通往粤东地区的高速铁路通道,广州到汕尾将延伸至汕头,两个项目线路相加全长约366公里,设计时速350公里。广汕铁路在广州站接入广茂铁路组成汕茂铁路,成为广东省高铁的一横。广汕客专西端通过广州枢纽衔接贵广、南广、广珠、深茂铁路及京广铁路通道,沟通珠三角核心地区,并辐射粤西、西南等地;中部在惠州地区承接京九铁路通道,连接江西、安徽等中东部片区;东端在汕尾地区与沿海铁路、汕汕铁路、京九铁路支线龙汕铁路相连,通达东南及华东沿海地区。
