The Chaohu to Ma’anshan Intercity Railway, also known as the Chaoma Intercity Railway, is a rail line in Anhui Province, China, connecting Chaohu and Ma’anshan. The main line is approximately 75 kilometers long. It starts from the Chaohu East Station, which is under construction on the Shanghe-Hangzhou Railway, and passes through Hanshan County and He County, crossing the Yangtze River into the Ma’anshan urban area. The line includes five stations: Chaohu East, Hanshan, Zhengpu Port, Ma’anshan South, and Ma’anshan East.
The Shanghe-Hangzhou (Shanghai-Hefei-Hangzhou) Railway begins in Shangqiu, Henan Province, and passes through Bozhou, Fuyang, Huainan, Hefei, Wuhu, Xuancheng in Anhui Province, and Huzhou in Zhejiang Province, before reaching Hangzhou. The main line is about 794.55 kilometers long. With the future completion of the Chaoma Intercity Railway, travel from Ma’anshan to cities along the line will become more convenient, accelerating Ma’anshan’s integration into the Hefei metropolitan area. Once the Chaoma Intercity Railway is completed, there will be a high-speed rail connection between Hefei and Ma’anshan, reducing the fastest travel time to within an hour. This will be of significant importance for Ma’anshan’s integration into the Hefei metropolitan area.
巢马城际铁路，即安徽省巢湖至马鞍山城际铁路。线路正线全长75公里。自在建的商合杭铁路巢湖东站引出，经过含山县、和县、跨过长江进入马鞍山市区。全线共设巢湖东站、含山站、郑蒲港站、马鞍山南站以及马鞍山东站5座车站。 商合杭铁路起自河南省商丘，经安徽省亳州、阜阳、淮南、合肥、芜湖、宣城、浙江省湖州至杭州。正线长度约794.55公里，巢马城际铁路与其相联通，未来建成后马鞍山到沿线城市将会更加方便，加速融入合肥都市圈。巢马城际铁路建成后，合肥至马鞍山将有一条高铁相连，最快路途时间缩短至1小时内，对于马鞍山融入合肥都市圈将有重大意义！
