Chengdu-Guiyang High Speed Railway 成贵高速铁路

The Chengdu-Guiyang High-Speed Railway, also known as the Chengdu-Guiyang Passenger Dedicated Line, is a high-speed rail line that connects Chengdu City in Sichuan Province with Guiyang City in Guizhou Province. It is part of the “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed railway main corridors, specifically the Lanzhou (or Lanzhou-Xining) to Guangzhou corridor, as outlined in the “Medium and Long-term Railway Network Plan” (2016 edition). The line spans from Chengdu East Railway Station to Guiyang East Railway Station, covering a total length of 648 kilometers and featuring 24 stations. It is designed for a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

The Chengdu-Guiyang High-Speed Railway starts from Chengdu East Railway Station and heads south through Shuangliu International Airport to Meishan and Leshan. It then moves eastward, passing through areas such as Qianwei County in Sichuan, Yibin City, Changning County, Xingwen County, Weixin County in Yunnan, Zhenxiong County, and then into Guizhou through Bijie City, Dafang County, Qianxi County, before finally entering the urban area of Guiyang.

This railway is a critical part of the “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed railway network from Lanzhou (or Xining) to Guangzhou. In Chengdu, it connects with the Xi-Cheng High-Speed Railway and the Chengdu-Chongqing High-Speed Railway, while in Guiyang, it links with the Guiyang-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway and the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway. The completion of this railway has ended the era without high-speed rail for regions along the route such as southern Sichuan’s Yibin, northern Yunnan’s Zhaotong, and western Guizhou’s Bijie, significantly shortening the travel time between the southwest, northwest, and the eastern and southern regions of China. This is of great importance for aiding regional poverty alleviation efforts, accelerating urban agglomeration construction, and promoting the development of the western regions of China.

成贵高速铁路（Chengdu-Guiyang High-speed Railway），又名成贵客运专线，是一条连接四川省成都市与贵州省贵阳市的高速铁路，是《中长期铁路网规划》（2016年版）中“八纵八横”高速铁路主通道之一“兰（西）广通道”的重要组成部分。成贵高速铁路由成都东站至贵阳东站，全长648千米，设24个车站，设计的最高速度为250千米/小时。 成贵高速铁路起自成都市成都东站，向南经双流国际机场至眉山、乐山，向东经四川犍为县、宜宾市、长宁县、兴文县，云南威信县、镇雄县，贵州毕节市、大方县、黔西县，最终进入贵阳市区。成贵高速铁路是中国“八纵八横”高速铁路网兰州（西宁）至广州通道的重要组成部分，线路在成都枢纽与西成高速铁路、成渝高速铁路连接，在贵阳枢纽与贵广高速铁路、沪昆高速铁路连接，沿途的川南宜宾、滇北昭通、黔西毕节等地区结束了没有高速铁路的历史，这对进一步缩短中国西南、西北地区与华东、华南地区的时空距离，助力区域脱贫攻坚，加快城市群建设，推动西部大开发等具有重要意义。
