The Longchang-Huangtong Railway, stretching from Longchang in Sichuan to Huangtong in Guizhou, spans a total length of 497.4 kilometers. It is a railway that was planned by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in his “Strategies for National Reconstruction.” Once completed, this railway will connect the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway with the Guiyang-Kunming Railway, creating another significant southward passage for the transportation of large quantities of goods from the southwestern region to the sea.
The Longchang-Huangtong Railway, extending from north to south, is divided into six sections: Longchang to Luzhou, Luzhou to Naxi, Naxi to Xuyong, Xuyong to Bijie, Bijie to Zhijin, and Zhijin to Huangtong. All these sections have been included in the national railway network plan.
The Longchang-Huangtong Railway is not just a route to prosperity for poverty-stricken mountain areas; it is also the most cost-effective transportation channel for large goods from the southwest to the sea. With the completion and operation of the Longchang to Xuyong section, the shortage of coal in Sichuan will be alleviated, signaling a large development opportunity for the ancient Xuyong coal fields, and the transportation costs for Sichuan coal are expected to be reduced by more than half. The operation of the Huangzhi Railway has provided transport capacity for the development of abundant coal, phosphate, iron, and other mineral resources in the area along the line.
The newly constructed Huangtong to Zhijin railway is the southern section of the planned Longchang to Huangtong railway, starting from Huangtong Station on the Shanghai-Kunming line in the south, passing through Puding County in the Anshun area, and reaching Zhijin County in the Bijie area in the north. The main line starts from Huangtong Station on the Shanghai-Kunming line, with intermediate stations at Puding, Jichangpo, and Dakou, and ends at Zhijin Station. The main line is 62.580 kilometers long, with a bridge and tunnel ratio of 49.5%. The construction of this railway will further improve the network layout of the southwest region and become an important part of the railway corridor from Longchang to Huangtong, connecting the Chongqing-Guizhou Railway and the Guiyang-Kunming Railway. It will benefit the development of land resources and the socio-economic development along the line.
隆黄铁路(Longchang-Huangtong Railway),北起四川隆昌,南到贵州黄桶,全长497.4公里,是孙中山先生在《建国方略》中就规划建设的铁路。这一铁路建成后,将贯通成渝铁路和贵昆铁路,形成西南地区大宗货物出海的又一重要南下通道。隆黄铁路,由北向南分为六段,即隆昌——泸州——纳溪——叙永——毕节——织金——黄桶,均已纳入国家路网规划。 隆黄铁路不仅是一条贫困山区的致富线,更是西南大宗货物出海的最廉价运输通道。隆黄铁路纳叙段建成通车,四川煤炭紧缺的情况将得到缓解,古叙煤田的大开发时机来临,四川煤炭运价将下降一半以上。黄织铁路的通车为沿线地区丰富的煤炭、磷、铁等矿产资源的开发提供了运力保障。新建黄桶至织金铁路是规划的隆昌至黄桶铁路的南段,南起沪昆线黄桶站,途经安顺地区普定县,北至毕节地区织金县。正线起点起自沪昆线黄桶站,中间设普定站、鸡场坡站、打括站,终点为织金站,正线全长62.580公里,桥隧比例49.5%。该铁路的建设,将进一步完善西南地区路网布局,成为连通渝黔铁路和贵昆铁路隆昌至黄桶铁路通道的重要组成部分,有利于促进沿线国土资源开发和经济社会发展。
