The Chi-Huang High-Speed Railway, extending from Chizhou Station to Huangshan North Station, covers a total length of 125.1 kilometers and is designed for speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour. Along the route, the railway includes stations such as Chizhou Station, Jiuhuashan Station, Huangshan West Station, Yixian East Station, and Huangshan North Station. The estimated total investment for the project is about 18.37 billion yuan. The section from Yixian East to Huangshan North initially shares tracks with the Chang-Jing-Huang High-Speed Railway, with provisions made for future direct line construction based on actual passenger flow growth.
The construction of the Huangshan section of the Chi-Huang High-Speed Railway marks a significant step for Huangshan in accelerating the development of a “rice”-shaped high-speed rail network within the province, following Hefei. This railway not only boosts the speed of development for Huangshan and the broader provincial interests but also opens a new passage for rapid transit from Wuhan to Hangzhou and Wenzhou, as well as from Central China to Eastern and Southern China. Furthermore, it holds profound significance for the city’s efforts to better implement the national strategy for integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta. It aims to expand openness on a larger scale, in wider fields, and at deeper levels.
