Changchun-Jilin Intercity Railway

The Changchun-Jilin Intercity Railway construction project extends for 112.499 kilometers and is classified as a passenger-dedicated line. It has double tracks with a targeted speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The preliminary design includes five stations: Changchun Station, Longjia Airport, Xinhuapi Factory, New Jilin Station, and Jilin Station. The service operates 16 hours a day, from 6 AM to 10 PM, with a minimum train interval of just 4 minutes. The direct trains have a travel time of 32 minutes, while trains stopping at all stations take 46 minutes. On December 30, 2010, at 9:08 AM, a Harmony Express train left Changchun Railway Station for Jilin City, marking the official opening of the first high-speed railway in Northeast China—the Changchun-Jilin Intercity Railway.
