Changjiu Intercity Railway 昌九城际铁路

The Changjiu Intercity Railway is categorized as a passenger-dedicated line with a total length of 131.27 kilometers, of which 91.5 kilometers are newly constructed. The designed speed target is 200 kilometers per hour. The total investment for the Changjiu Intercity Railway project is about 6.5 billion yuan, with the Jiangxi Provincial Local Railway Construction Group Company representing the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government contributing 50% of the funds, and the Nanchang Railway Bureau representing the Ministry of Railways contributing the other 50%. With the completion of the Changjiu Intercity Railway, the travel time between Nanchang and Jiujiang is reduced to 40 minutes. The completion of the Changjiu Intercity Railway will help alleviate the transport capacity tension on the Beijing-Kowloon (Jingjiu) line between Nanchang and Jiujiang and promote rapid regional economic development.

昌九城际铁路的等级为客运专线，线路全长131.27公里，其中新建线路正线长度91.5公里。 设计速度目标值为每小时200公里。 昌九城际铁路工程投资总额约65亿元，江西省地方铁路建设集团公司代表江西省人民政府出资50%，南昌铁路局代表铁道部出资50%。 昌九城际铁路的建成，南昌到九江的时间缩短为40分钟。昌九城际铁路交通的建成能缓解京九线昌九段运输能力紧张局面，促进区域化经济快速发展。
