Hefei-Anqing High-Speed Railway 合安铁路

The Hefei-Anqing High-Speed Railway, also known as the He-An High-Speed Railway or He-An Passenger Line, is a high-speed railway that connects Hefei City with Anqing City in Anhui Province, China. It is a vital component of the “Beijing-Hong Kong (Taiwan) Corridor,” which is one of the main passageways in the “Medium and Long Term Railway Network Plan” (2016 version). Construction of the He-An High-Speed Railway commenced on December 25, 2015. The full-line construction started in November 2016, and the railway was expected to begin operations by the end of 2020.

The He-An High-Speed Railway starts from the new Hefei West Station in the Shushan District of Hefei, heading south through Feixi County, Shucheng County, Lujiang County, and Tongcheng City, ending with the new Anqing West Station in Huaining County. Before the operation of the He-An High-Speed Railway, the fastest D-train from Hefei to Anqing required 1 hour and 45 minutes, transferring from the Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway to the Ning-An High-Speed Railway. The fastest journey by conventional train from Hefei Station to Anqing via the Hejiu Railway took about 3 hours and 30 minutes, and reaching Jiujiang took about 4 hours and 10 minutes. After the completion of the He-An High-Speed Railway and the Anqing-Jiujiang High-Speed Railway, travel time from Hefei to Jiujiang will be reduced to just over an hour, to Nanchang to 2 hours, and to Shenzhen to about 6 hours. The completion of the He-An High-Speed Railway plays a significant role in improving the regional network layout of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, enhancing network quality and capacity, and driving the economic and social development of the areas along the railway.

合安高速铁路（Hefei-Anqing High-speed Railway），即京港高速铁路合安段，简称合安高铁，又名合安客运专线，是一条连接安徽省合肥市与安庆市的高速铁路，是《中长期铁路网规划》（2016年版）中“八纵八横”高速铁路主通道之一“京港（台）通道”的重要组成部分。2015年12月25日，合安高速铁路开工建设；2016年11月，合安高速铁路全线开工建设；预计2020年底，合安高速铁路将开通运营 合安高速铁路北起安徽省合肥市蜀山区新合肥西站，向南经肥西县、舒城县、庐江县、桐城市至怀宁县设新安庆西站。合安高速铁路通车之前合肥到安庆的动车经由合福高铁转入宁安高铁运行，最快需要1小时45分钟；在合肥站乘坐普速列车经由合九铁路到达安庆最快需要3小时30分钟，到达九江最快则需要4小时10分钟。合安高速铁路、安九高速铁路建成后，合肥至九江仅需1个多小时，到南昌将缩短至2小时，最远到深圳将缩短至6小时。合安高速铁路的建成对于完善长江经济带区域路网布局，提高路网质量和能力，带动沿线地区经济社会发展具有重要作用。
